Donor letter June 14, 2025

Greetings Brethren, Happy Sabbath,

I Hope all of you are well as we sojourn on this increasingly troubled planet where iniquity continues to increase daily, and the love of many is waxing cold. Our Lord spoke of this time in (Matthew 24:12).

That word “love” here is Strong’s # 26 “Agape” which is God’s love. It indicates that the love of the brethren is waxing cold.

We are warned in (Revelation 18:4) to come out of this world. Let us not forget that friendship to the world is enmity to God. (James 4:4).

I have good news to report today concerning the orphans, widows and impoverished brethren that you donors have been assisting. Thanks to your continued support, none have died of starvation in over a Month now. Even the orphans at Dauglas’ have been sleeping with food in their bellies. The help you are giving them is wonderful, and our Heavenly Father will remember your good works. He will deliver you in the time of trouble that is approaching. (Psalm 41:1).

I received the following from Dauglas:

Dear Pastor Bill and Our Beloved Donors,

Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

On behalf of the entire Getionko congregation, I write this letter with a heart full of gratitude to sincerely thank you for the incredible support you have provided to us. Your generous hands have truly touched the lives of many here especially the orphans, widows, and brethren who are part of our church family.

Your kindness in providing food, clothing, shelter, and other essential needs has brought hope and comfort to so many in our community. In times of hardship, your love and support have reminded us that we are not alone. You have been a shining light sent by God, and we thank Him for using you to answer our prayers.

The children have been fed, clothed, and cared for. The widows have felt remembered and uplifted. The congregation has been strengthened. All this is because of your faithfulness, generosity, and love for God’s people.

Please know that your support is not taken for granted. We deeply appreciate every sacrifice made, every prayer said, and every gift given. Your impact will be remembered for years to come.

May our Heavenly Father reward you richly. May He bless you and your families abundantly physically, spiritually, and in every area of your lives. As Proverbs 19:17 says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”

With heartfelt thanks and continued prayers,

Pastor Dauglas Henry”

Menley and Friends Bible Studying.

Menley’s friends at university are Seventh Day Adventist (SDA’S) and they are learning from the Bible studies that the “trinity” (which is taught now by SDA’S) is a false doctrine, and that the Holy Days (which SDA’S do not keep) are God’s Feasts, and are to be kept. (Leviticus 23:1-2).

These students are learning to be pilots, and will start their simulator training soon. Kenya Airlines has promised to hire them upon graduation.

I just received the following report from Menley (they ran into trouble after their Bible Study.)

I wanted to let you know that I received the stuff and the funds you sent, thank you so much.

I’ve been offline since yesterday. After we finished our Bible study, on our way back home, my friends and I ran into an angry mob involved in the ongoing demonstrations. Things turned violent. They took our phones, and one of my friends the one you saw in that photo was badly hurt.

We reported the incident to the police, but they said there’s nothing they can do since it was part of a citizen-led demonstration. A lot of other people also lost their belongings and some properties were destroyed in the chaos.

I was fortunate that I only had my school ID with me the rest of my belongings were back at my place which they took and cut in two pieces since they failed to find anything like money in my pocket. But for some of my friends, everything they had was taken.

Today, we didn’t leave home. The situation has been very tense, and the police were working to calm things down. Nairobi and Kiambu have been hit hard, it’s been really bad all around.

Honestly, Papa, it’s a difficult time. I’m down on my knees talking to God He’s the only one who truly knows my situation, and He has saved me many times before. I’m holding on to Him now more than ever.

I need sometime alone to talk to God about all my worries.

Thank you again for always being there.

Menley.”

Brethren this world continues to become more and more evil. We have much to pray about, but let us keep “Thy Kingdom Come” on top of our prayer list.

I hope to post a new “Kenya Update” soon.

Your brother in Christ.
