Kenya Update June 14, 2026

Greetings Brethren,

Hope all of you are well? I’m currently working on this Update, and hope to complete it soon. But considering my recent pleas for help. I thought it would be good to post what I have, so you can better understand the situation amongst our brethren in E. Africa.

First let me thank those of you who have been faithfully assisting our impoverished brethren. Your help is very much appreciated, and continues to  accomplish much.

As you cand see in the following pictures, progress is being made.

Cultivating The Bananas.

This is one of our three one-acre gardens. The picture was taken today (June 14, 2026). The bananas are doing quite well, and will be a huge help once we begin harvesting.

The next picture is what it looked like early this morning “before” we started cultivating.

The second one-acre banana garden also needs “digging and dunging” as soon as we have the funds to purchase the dung.

Yes, digging and dunging is quite necessary to produce good fruit. We can relate this to our own “Spiritual” growth. Like we are informed by our Lord in (Luke 13:6-9):

“He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard  (The “certain man” is our Heavenly Father) and He came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

Then said He unto the dresser of his vineyard (the “dresser of the vineyard” is our Lord and Savior)  Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

And He answering said unto Him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”.

Brethren, helping our impoverished brethren (especially the many orphans and widows) is a good way for us to be  producing good fruit. Your good works of helping these impoverished poor brethren of ours is “Glorifying” our Heavenly  Father. (Matthew 5:16). Good works produce good fruit.

Rice & Beans at Getionko.

It’s not just our congregations suffering and in need of help. I spoke to our brethren in “The Great Rift Valley” Bomet and Narok, they told me they are also sleeping hungry. And I received a few other calls. One from the Miangi family (Long time members of God’s church, who live near the Somali border) they are also sleeping hungry and requesting assistance. (We have assisted them numerous times in the past with food.) And another call came in from Lou land, not far from the Uganda border. The congregation there are long time members of God’s church (some members going as far back as the ‘Radio” cog.) They told me they are also suffering with hunger. These are very difficult times for our brethren living in Kenya.

Some of Sengera Children Eating Rice.

Sengera Congregation today, on Sabbath June 13, 2026

As you know, we have a few orphans in University. Manley has just over one year to go, and he will be a certified pilot, working for “Kenya Airlines”. He is in the top of his class, despite all the troubles he has encountered from the constant riots in Kenya.

The following is part of a letter he received from his school this week:

“We are encouraged by the strong academic performance reflected in your file and the good grades you have achieved thus far. It is our desire to support your continued progress and help ensure that you are not required to return to the theory phase of training.”

James is also doing quite well in Nursing School. He attends “Kenya Medical Training College” in Kisii Town.

Nehemiah, aside from all his working with the local (and remote) orphans and widows, he has also been working with a Sunday keeping church pastor in Malawi Africa. The pastor has been studying our Website, and likes what he has been learning from the Scriptures. Nehemiah is teaching him about Sabbath and Holy Days. The pastor is quite intrigued, and showing Scriptures to his congregation concerning the Biblical Truths he has been learning.

I need to end for now, but hope to add more to this update in the coming days. Please continue to pray for us to become humble, and to be better stewards. We are doing our best to help our brethren to get back on their feet. As I mentioned in previous updates, conditions for our brethren in Kenya are the worst I’ve seen since first visiting there back in 2005. Currently all of them have been digging in their gardens, preparing to plant crops, but lack the funds to purchase seeds. We pray constantly every day for our Heavenly Father, and our Lord to guide us, and lead us, with His Holy Spirit.

Thank You.
