KHOFH

April 26, 2025

And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths (seven weeks – seven churches) shall be complete. (That particular word “complete” here means = unblemished, without spot. Same word used for our Lord, the lamb chosen for Passover in (Exodus 12:5) and (Numbers 19:2).

Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. (Leviticus 23:15-16). Yes, “complete” before day fifty, before being baked. Same as (1 Kings 6:7) The house (the church)“made ready” (perfect – whole) before being changed into spirit.) Before being “brought thither” (to the other side.)

Greetings Brethren,

We hope everyone had a Spiritual and meaningful Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread. Our two Feast sites “Sengera House” and “Ketionko” both had a very nice Feast as they congregated all seven days. Thanks to your support, three meals were served each day. Our orphans, widows and impoverished brethren appreciated your help very much. It was a wonderful week of joy and fellowship, with both physical and Spiritual food to eat and digest.

I received the following from Dauglas:

“Dear Pastor Bill, and All Our Beloved Donors,

Warm greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

On behalf of the entire Getionko Congregation, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for your faithful support during the Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread.

Because of your generosity, we were able to celebrate these holy days with joy and unity. We all truly enjoyed the Feast, and we were especially blessed to have Brother Benerd and his family join us during this special time. Their presence added to the spirit of fellowship and thanksgiving.

Throughout the Feast, we were encouraged and uplifted by the word of God. We learned so much, and our brethren were deeply strengthened in faith. We are especially grateful to Brother Mark Rusinko for preparing and sharing such powerful and timely messages. The teachings were a great blessing, and the brethren truly loved and appreciated them.

To our kind donors we want you to know how much your support means to us. If not for your help, many of our lives would be filled with great difficulty. Your love and sacrifice made it possible for us to worship, learn, and fellowship together. The brethren continue to give thanks for you, and they are praying for you always.

May God richly bless each one of you for your kindness, generosity, and continued support. Please keep standing with us we need you, we appreciate you, and we thank you with all our hearts.

With love and gratitude,

Dauglas Henry.”

(If you want to hear Mark’s messages to them, I’ll try to post links on this update page later.)

Getionko Children Asleep on the Floor and Loving it. Spring Feast 2025.

Sengera Passover Service 2025.

Sengera Congregation Given Flour to Make Unleavened Bread.

We are not only commanded to remove “leaven” bread from our homes, but also to eat “unleavened” bread each day during the Feast, picturing the need to put our Lord in each day. (Exodus 12:15,18).

Now we look forward and count to our feast, day fifty, the Feast of Pentecost. The day Our Lord’s “little flock” will be resurrected and given the Kingdom. (Luke 12:32.)  (Leviticus 23:17) (Leviticus 23:20).

If you had been there on that day you would have seen the priest wave the two wave loaves high over his head, representing something that will take place up in heaven on the “Sea of Glass”, not down here on this earth. (Revelation 15:2).

Brethren, the work we are involved in is a good work. And your good works of helping our orphans and widows, continues to glorify our Heavenly Father. These brethren are peasant farmers, and in the past number of years, little has been harvested. And in Kenya there are no food banks, but there is much starvation. So we again thank you donors, for continuing to help them.

Benard’s Church Sweet Potato Garden.

Both Dauglas and Bernard’s church gardens are doing well. Now they continue to wait for harvest. In the mean time we need to continue helping them with food, especially the orphans and widows.

Sengera House New Front Gate.

The project for replacing the front gate at Sengera House, and rerouting of the kitchen drainage, is now almost complete. We have also begun paying the school fees for the orphans which are now due. But we are still short of funds to finish paying the school fees. So we still need help. But we are praying for our Father to continue to provide.

Before ending, I want to mention something about the “counting” to Pentecost. In the past (ever since I’ve been in the church) it seems we didn’t pay much attention to the “count” (I can remember in WCG that occasionally on Sabbath, the “Song Leader” would make some mention of it, but that was about it. (The count seemed kind of “insignificant”.

Now the “count” may seem insignificant to us, but it’s far from being insignificant to God, especially when you consider the “Rich Meaning” of the Hebrew word translated count. The word “count” here means “to score with a mark as a tally or a record.” (God keeps a record – a book of life & a book of remembrance.) The word also means: “To count a flock.” “To Enumerate” (That means to: “name one by one” That’s what our Creator does with the stars in the sky as they come out at night, (Psalm 147:4) He counts them, and names them “one by one”

Those stars in the heavens represent us brethren. This counting is nothing to take lightly. This counting is a continuation of what we learn from keeping the feast of U.B. The feast of Unleavened Bread lasts seven days…. It pictures us, coming out of sin. It has to do with us becoming like Christ. It starts with the Passover Sacrifice, (The sacrifice of an “unblemished Lamb”) Christ dying in our stead, so that we might live. During the week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread, we’re commanded to de-leaven our houses, a physical lesson with much spiritual meaning, it teaches us to put sin out of our lives. If we stumble across some leaven during the week of U.B, we know what to do, we take it and put it off of our property, and we know that we are to do the same with transgressions. (When we find ourselves doing something wrong, we have to change and do it right.) We are also commanded to eat “Unleavened” bread each day during the seven day feast…. Picturing us putting “Christ” into our daily lives.

Now at the end of the seven day feast of U.B, we can go back to eating “leavening” but we can’t go back to “sinning.” The seven week count to “completion” is just a continuation of what the seven day feast of Unleavened Bread is all about, coming out of Egypt, coming out of sin. Changing our ways, changing our walk, changing our nature. Our journey started at the time we accepted Christ’s sacrifice, and took the plunge at baptism and had “hands.” Hands, where we received God’s Holy Spirit (the only thing powerful enough to change our sinful natures.) For many of us, that’s been quite some time now… Let us not think that time is not running out. Especially now, as we SEE the day approaching. We need to be sure we have our High calling on the front burner of our lives. The Scriptures concerning the counting to Pentecost have much to teach us about fulfilling our high calling. There is a Scriptural study on this titled: “Counting to Completion” at: https://khofh.com/spring-holy-days-part-three-counting-to-completion/

So we thank you for the wonderful help you have been giving to our orphans and widows. And we pray for you not to get weary in well doing. (Galatians 6:9). We also ask you to continue praying for us to be better stewards, and for our Heavenly Father to put and keep a hedge around all of us, the orphans, the widows, and all of you.

Your brother in Christ,

Bill Goff
