Greetings Brethren,
I hope all of you are doing well, as we draw closer and closer to the return of our Lord and Master. Let us keep our focus on His coming Kingdom. He tells us in (Revelation 22:12) that He comes quickly, and that His reward is with Him, to give every man according to his works shall be. His elect will be rewarded first, when they meet Him up in the clouds, and stand with Him on that “Sea of Glass” which is mingled with fire. (Revelation 15:2).
I hope we have our focus on our High Calling, and refrain from entangling ourselves with the affairs of this “temporary” life. (2 Timothy 2:4). Let us remember we are sojourners here on this earth, like Abraham, awaiting our permanent residence in that City whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11: 9-10) (1 Chronicles 29:15).
We want to thank you donors for continuing to assist our orphans, widows, and impoverished brethren. Life in these 3rd world countries is quite difficult to say the least. Recently the authorities entered our compound checking to see if all of our orphans were in school. Thanks to you donors they were. They then walked across the street and up the hill to John Magara’s house. John is a long time member of the Sengera congregation, and as many of our brethren do, he cares for a number of orphans. But he was unable to pay their school fees, so he was arrested. He spent five days in jail and was severely beaten. After finally being released, he needed to go to the hospital to be treated for his wounds. But we lacked the funds, so he is recovering at home. He is pictured below with his family.

John stands bent over from the beatings, and now walks with a stick.
Please continue to pray for our impoverished brethren. As you probably know from previous letters and updates, that sixteen year old Timothy has been learning the trade of making furniture. But unfortunately he also was arrested and severely beaten while he was incarcerated. Timothy was out fetching fire wood for cooking, but unknowingly wondered into the Mau Forest (Kenya’s largest water shed, which was unmarked but a highly restricted area.) He was immediately arrested and spent three days in jail before we could get him out. Upon release he had to be admitted in the hospital due to the beatings. He is now home, and has returned to work.
Please pray for our impoverished brethren, donations are down, and we are once again struggling to assist the many afflictions of our orphans and widows. Even the Getionko congregation’s widows and orphans are back to going two to three days at a time without eating. (One widow is now in the hospital dying from starvation.) If only others knew of the suffering, they would help. We don’t need a ton of money. The regular donors continue to go above and beyond, we just need a few more to join hands with us in helping. (James 1:27) (1John 3:17-18).
I would also like to ask prayers for our upcoming move. After being located here on Springs Avenue in Myrtle Beach for approximately fifteen years, our Landlord has decided to sell the property. So we need to relocate by April 1st.
Thank You.
