Greetings Brethren and Happy Sabbath.
How wonderful it is to be called by the Almighty God, and have opportunity to be in His Soon Coming Kingdom. In Revelation 2 & 3 Our Lord tells all seven churches: “To him that overcometh” will I grant this and give that.
Yes, the priceless Treasures that He wants to give us are readily available to us. All we have to do to receive them is to overcome the evil ways of this world, and follow Him. (Revelation 2:1-26) (Revelation 3:1-22).
But let us use caution here because the path that leads to that wonderful life in His Kingdom is quite narrow, and it’s only found by the few. (Matthew 7:13-14). Yes Brethren, “Many are called, but few are chosen”. (Matthew 22:14) is quite a sobering verse. I hope we have our High calling on the front burner of our lives?
It’s been a busy week in Kenya, so I thought a short letter would be good to share. First let me give an update on Belden, the young thirteen year old orphan from the Getionko congregation who was robbed of food and beaten. We reported on (and pictured) him in the last “Kenya Update”. https://khofh.com/ Belden is now okay, but the scars on his back will remain until the Kingdom comes.
Below is a letter I received today from Dauglas. We try to give the congregations a good hot meal every Sabbath. During this particular week they had been sleeping many nights hungry. So today’s Sabbath meal was much appreciated.
“Dear Pastor Bill and Beloved Donors,
Receive warm greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
On behalf of the entire Getionko Congregation, I humbly extend our heartfelt gratitude to you, Pastor Bill, and to all our beloved donors for your tireless support in providing food for the Getionko orphans. Your unwavering kindness and love have been a great blessing to these vulnerable children, bringing smiles to their faces and hope to their hearts.
Your generosity has not only provided food but also renewed strength and reminded these little ones that they are loved and not forgotten. Your sacrifice is a true reflection of God’s love, and it is making a great impact in their lives.
We deeply appreciate your dedication and compassionate hearts. Please, Pastor Bill, kindly pass our warmest regards and sincere appreciation to all our beloved donors. Let them know that their loving support is transforming lives and giving the orphans strength to press on with joy.
We continually lift you and all our donors in our prayers, asking the Almighty God to bless, protect, and reward you abundantly. May His grace and love continue to overflow in your lives as you serve Him faithfully.
Dauglas Henry”

Getionko Children Eating Rice and Beans.
Thanks to you consistent donors, not one of these children has died from starvation recently. Your donations continue to feed them. As funds come in, they go right back out, because the need is still great. If you look close at the picture above, their faces and extended hands show the depth of their suffering.

In this picture they look a bit more satisfied.

Sengera House Orphans
The Sengera House children are home from school for one week during their first mid-term break. As you probably know, some of our orphans (not pictured here) are living back with a Grandparent. They too are attending school, and now on break.
Enoch is living with his Grandmother and was bitten by a poisonous snake this week (a common occurrence in Kenya.) but he is okay now. Timothy is still living with his Grandfather, and working at a local carpentry shop making furniture. They both send you their greetings.
Manley is now in Mombasa. I received the following letter from him this week:
“I went to Mombasa because I had a unit to take there, which required me to study at a location with an international airport apart from Jomo Kenyatta Airport. This was a compulsory part of my coursework since understanding the circuits and systems involved is crucial. The unit is designed to provide hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of how these circuits function. I had an assignment and a presentation to complete, both of which were essential in evaluating my grasp of the subject and determining my progress in class. The experience was important in helping me apply theoretical knowledge to practical’s ensuring I gain the necessary skills for my field of study.”
But it was a rough week for Manley because he fractured his ankle, and needed to be treated at a local Hospital. He will remain in Mombasa an additional week to finish his “unit” of study. He also anticipates to begin flight sim-u-la-tor training later this Month. Hopefully he will eventually be employed and flying for Kenya Airlines.
James (who recently graduated from High School) is hoping to attend University starting in September. His goal is to become a nurse. When asked what field he wanted to train for, his answer was: “I want to be a nurse so I can help people.”

James Magara
Now all he needs is someone to sponsor him. But I’m sure that God will work that out, He always does.

Currently James is busy working around the orphanage, washing dishes, sweeping the compound etc. He (like the rest of them) are so humble, so kind and so loving. Always praying to and relying on, our Creator. They also pray for all of you donors daily. They do not take your wonderful love and help for granted.
You donors are so wonderful, taking these orphans under your wing, feeding them, clothing them, schooling them. Your rewards will be so great in the coming Kingdom of God. I can hear Him now, saying: “Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34)
And
“Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:21).
Please keep Nehemiah in your prayers, he is a true servant, and a true soldier of our Lord. He also goes above and beyond like many of you. And he has his feet on the ground in Kenya Africa. Africa reminds me of when Dorothy said: “Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore”. That continent is different. And it can be a very dangerous place, from poisonous snake bites (We had two this week alone – Enoch and Bernard) to being caught in a flash flood, or even a riot. (Nehemiah knows all about being caught in both flash floods and in riots, and he had tear-gas twice.) But God got him throw all of it, like He always does thanks to your prayers. And be sure to be praying for Dauglas. Another true servant and soldier, like Nehemiah, always going above and beyond serving. Amen.
You’re doing a wonderful work, Brethren. So please don’t get weary in your well doing, because your help continues to ease their afflictions. You are the Pure Religion spoken of by James. (James 1:27) (Galatians 6:9).
Your Brother in Christ.
