Greetings Brethren,
In (John 16:33) our Lord tells His disciples that “in this world, you “will” have tribulation.” And in (2 Timothy 3:12) Scripture says that “All” that will live godly in Christ Jesus “shall” suffer persecution.
Brethren, I often say that “if” we are not suffering persecution, then we are “not” living godly. Our Lord also tells His disciples that “If” they have persecuted me, they “will” also persecute you. (John 15:20).
I bring this up, because some of our brethren are really suffering. Especially Dauglas, now that he has been arrested, and incarcerated in a Kenya jail.
I mentioned in my letter yesterday that he was arrested, because he was unable to pay a hospital bill for a young orphan who was accidentally burned from hot water. I also mentioned how horrible Kenya jails are, with no chairs to sit on, no bed to sleep on, no blankets, no sink, soap or water for washing, only a dirty, cold cement floor to sleep on. Kenya jails are horrible.
I received the following from Dauglas this morning: “Please pray for me, I’m really suffering a lot here sleeping on the floor without eating, or mattresses and even blankets. And many are starving a lot at home.”
Yes, our brethren living in these 3rd world countries suffer a lot. Now some have asked, how can our brethren be starving with all the funds that we send? Please understand we have a lot of brethren in Kenya, including many orphans and widows. The broadcasting of the Gospel has reached many in both Kenya and Tanzania. It actually started in Tanzania in the early 50ies when the “World Tomorrow” was broadcast from “Radio Luxembourg”. A man by the name of Joash from Tanzania first heard that broadcast. He contacted the “Radio cog” for their literature, and began spreading the Gospel in both Tanzania and Kenya.
Our Creator calls His disciples for a purpose, He has a job for them to do. He calls them to become a Kingdom of Priests. The job of the Priest is to teach. During the coming millennium, His priests will be teaching many in all of E. Africa.

I took this picture while visiting Joash and the Tanzanian Brethren back in 2006. He is still living at his home in Tanzania today.

Joash Laying Hands on Baptized Member.
If I remember correctly, we baptized eight members in Lake Victoria that day back in 2006. We always have to use much caution when baptizing in both Kenya and Tanzania, due to the large population of both Crocodiles and Hippopotamus.
Now most congregations here in the States have plenty of support from their members, and usually a good supply of funds in their church bank accounts. But our Kenya congregations (and there are many) are poor, and unable to support. With us, caring for our African Brethren (especially the many widows and orphans) we have no supply of funds. As funds come in, they go right back out to ease their suffering. This is why we need your continued support, and for others to become aware of our poor brethren suffering.
We baptized many in remote areas of Kenya and Tanzania. We can relate this to (Luke 14:22-23). And there is a sobering warning for us in (Luke 14:24). Yes, many in the past have asked to be excused from their High Calling, they felt they have better things to do. How about us, Is our High Calling on the front burner of our lives? Or are we too busy also with the cares of this world? Brethren, this evil age is about to be flushed down the toilet. Let us remember, we are sojourners here, looking for that City that is soon coming, the one who’s builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:10).

This was a Sunday keeping group, but their pastor had been studying Sabbath. He came and kept the Feast of Tabernacles with us a few years ago. After the Feast, he asked me to come and address his congregation. I agreed, and It was a very good visit. One think I found about our poor African Brethren is if you show them something in the Scriptures, they are quick to change, and follow what the Word says.. They have been keeping Sabbath and Holy Days for a number of years now. We also supplied them with a number of Bibles. When I first traveled to E. Africa back in 2005, I found many brethren who were former members of the WWC, but none had Bibles. We have a good report on that first visit at: https://khofh.com/why-support-us/ Please check it out, it elaborates on some of the serious problems in the churches of God today.
I just heard from Dauglas, he is an amazing believer. Here he is suffering in jail with the harshest conditions, and he’s asking me to send funds to his orphans for food and supplies. Please continue to pray for him. I know first hand what incarceration in Kenya is like, its horrible.
I need to end for now. For those of you who have been helping our African Brethren, and the work we are involved in, we thank you from the bottom of our heart. May our Almighty Father Bless you Abundantly. But please don’t get weary in your well doing. Helping these impoverished Brethren of ours (especially the orphans and widows) is the right thing to do. (James 1:27). And please spread the word to others, that we have poor brethren living in these 3rd world countries who are suffering, and in need of our help. If others only knew of the suffering, they would help. Oh, and before I forget, we don’t have enough funds to put the children back in school. Please help if you are able.
Your brother in Christ Jesus.
