The Rest of The Story

April 12. 2026

William P. Goff

Greetings Brethren,

I hope this message finds you in good health, both physical, and more importantly, Spiritually, as we near the return of our Lord and Savior.

Here we are at the end of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and counting to Pentecost, the first resurrection, when the church (His first fruits) will be meeting our Lord in the sky, and seeing Him face to face up on the Sea of Glass.

Do we picture that sometimes brethren, in our minds, of being taken up into the clouds, and meeting our lord in the air?  The time is coming when those of His, who are asleep, will be resurrected from their graves, and those still alive, will be changed from flesh to Spirit, in the twinkling of an eye? Brethren, that day is coming.

His saints rising up into the clouds, isn’t some metaphor, it’s reality. His sleeping saints will be resurrected and changed into spirit. And His physically alive saints, at that same time will be changed into spirit also, and taken up into the clouds. That’s where the wedding of the Lamb will take place, up on the Sea of Glass.

That’s also when and where our Lord will establish (set up) His Kingdom. We pray “Thy Kingdom Come.” But His Kingdom hasn’t even been set up yet. How could it when many of its officials are still asleep in the Grave.

It will be set up soon, soon as the first fruits are resurrected, which will be during the reign of the coming Beast power. (Daniel 2:44). (Remember, we should have Scriptural support for all of our beliefs.)

And in the days of these kings (The ten toes – ten Kings in King Nebuchadnezzar dream.) shall the God of heaven set up (establish)a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Yes, on Pentecost the first fruits will be changed into Spirit Beings, and will be standing on the Sea of Glass with our Lord. This is the first resurrection. It will take place 3 1/2 days after God’s two anointed ones (His two witnesses) will have finished their testimony and are killed. (Revelation 11:11-12). All of God’s first fruits will be resurrected at this time.

But we must take caution here, because according to the Scriptures not everyone is going to be there. His First Fruits have to reach maturity first; they have to be of full growth. They have to be what Scripture calls complete.

Recently, on the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a man (actually a senior elder, and Feast coordinator) gave the closing message. His message focused on what we need to be doing now, as we continue counting to the Feast of Pentecost, as we wait for our Lord’s return. What is it that we need to be doing now to ensure that we will be there, totally ready to meet Him in the sky?

In his message, his focus was on sin. And how we all need to continue “trying” to stop sinning. Yes, he said the most important thing for us to be doing, as we wait for our Lord to return is to keep on “trying” to overcome sin.

He reminded us that we are all sinners, and that all humans sin. He said that we will continue to sin, right up until our change. Why? Because sin is in our nature.

He concluded the message saying “Keep on Keeping on” Keep on Trying to stop sinning, Keep on Trying to overcome. According to him, we cannot succeed at overcoming, but that it is imperative for us to keep “trying”.

Sad to say, he never mentioned anything about the Powerful Holy Spirit, that our Heavenly Father gave us at baptism and hands, to help us succeed to overcome sin. He never mentioned that our Creator is in the process of using that Holy Spirit of His to “change” our sinful nature. He never mentioned that the Father is in the process of developing in us through the Power of His Spirit, His Holy Righteous Character.

After services, I asked him if we could talk privately, so he brought me up to his room, anxious to hear what I had to say.

I told him it was true, that we all come into this world with sinful natures. But that he forgot to mention in his message that our Creator is in the process of changing our sinful nature. And He’s doing it by the power of His Powerful Spirit.

That minister did not take my words lightly; he had me removed from all future speaking lists.

I can remember another well-known minister, saying that we need to be in a constant state of repentance. Brethren, we need to be in a constant state of obedience, walking upright, just like our Lord, our Chief Corner Stone, gave us His example.

In today’s message I want to address something Very important, concerning our High Calling, and our “Being Ready”.  Yes, being ready to meet our Lord and Savior up in the clouds, up on that Sea of Glass. The Scriptures have much to say about who will be standing on that Sea of Glass with Him, and who will not.

Brethren, being Ready for our Lord’s return needs to be accomplished Now, it’s a while still in the flesh thing.  Because He will be returning, and presenting to Himself a glorious church, one that is Unspotted, and functioning well. with all its members walking upright, in one accord with eachother. (Ephesians 5:27).

Yes, His saints are being made Holy now. But what most don’t realize, is “what” it is that makes them Holy. We are made Holy by the Holy “Scriptures.”  Yes, the Scriptures (Truth) is what make us Holy. (John 17:17).

“Sanctify (make them Holy) through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

We are made Holy by “Truth.” By learning and walking in Truth.  Our doctrines, our beliefs have to be Scripturally sound.

And we need to take caution here because we are living at the time when Scripture tells us that smooth talk, and fables are being served. And that many are swallowing, without even chewing, let alone proving.

Let’s refresh our memory concerning the importance (and multi-purpose) of Scripture.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, (God Breath) and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16).

That word “reproof” is (Strong’s # 1650 meaning evidence.)  We need Scriptural evidence to support our beliefs.

Truth is of utmost importance to us. it sets us free, it makes us  Holy, And Truth is also the only way we can worship the Father.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him “Must” (Strong’s # G1163 necessary – behoved – binding.)  must worship him in spirit and in “Truth.” John 4:23-24).

We have to study and prove all of our beliefs to make sure we are walking in Truth.  Again, walking in Truth is what makes one Holy. (John 17:17) “Sanctify them (make them Holy) through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

One has to be rightly dividing the Word of God, and that takes studying God’s word, and filling our vessels with Truth. That’s what the oil in the parable of the Ten Virgins represents. The oil in that parable, that we need to be filling up on does not represent His Spirit, it represents Truth. (There is a short Scriptural study on that, titled: ‘The Parable of the Ten Virgins”  the link is below.)

Doctrine is of Utmost importance to us. Remember, His true church, His little flock, The Church of the Living God, is the Pillar and Ground of the Truth. (1 Timothy 3:15). If you want to find His true church? You have to find where the truth is being preached and taught.

Now there are some serious threats to our being ready, that I want to address here. They concern a number of fables that have been taught and falsely believed by many (if not most) in God’s “church” in these end times.

Let us remember, man is our biggest culprit to walking in Truth, according to the warnings we are given from our Lord and others about men deceiving us, and leading many astray. Peter addresses the problem right on, and shows us the condition of the “church” today. (And it’s not a pretty site.)  Please read Peter’s words in the proper present tense, to drive his sobering words home. Remember, he wrote this a long time ago, But it concerns all of us in God’s church today.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be (are)false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in (have brought in)  damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many (not a few) shall follow (are following)their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be (is) evil spoken of. (2 Peter 2:1-2).

One Big fable pertains to the leaven spoken of in (Leviticus 23:17)

“Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.”

Most pulpits in the “church” today still teach that that leaven represents “sin”. They believe that the church, the first fruits will be baked with sin.

Brethren, nothing could be further from the truth. Sinners will not inherit the kingdom of God. That’s what the Feast of Unleavened Bread is all about, coming out of sin, learning to walk upright, like our Lord.

Let us believe the Holy Scriptures, not the false teaching of men. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) (Galatians 5:19-21).

The leaven in which the wave loaves are baked with does not represent sin. There is a good leaven also mentioned in the Bible in (Matthew 13:33). (We will discuss that verse shortly).

We are all born with sinful natures, but before anyone can enter God’s Kingdom, they must have a changed nature. They must develop the Holy Righteous Character of God the Father, before they can enter into His Kingdom. God is no respecter of person. To enter God’s Kingdom, one has to learn, and walk in Truth. Correct doctrines, believing Truth, not fables.

Paul tells us in (2 Timothy 4:1-4)

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Brethren, nowhere in the Scriptures does our Lord say to him that is “trying” to overcome, I will grant this, and give that. He tells all seven churches: “To him that “overcometh” I will grant this and give that. Just trying doesn’t cut it with our Creator. Our Heavenly Father has given us His Powerful Holy Spirit. With His Holy Spirit in us, we can succeed (and must succeed) at overcoming.

One’s sinful nature (that we all have been born with, no matter who the person is) has to be changed to our Fathers Righteous Character in order to enter into the Kingdom of God. Those who’s sinful natures remain, will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Sinners will not be there. Again: (1 Corinthians 6: 9-10) (Galatians 5: 19-21).

Our sinful nature has to be changed now. We need to develop His Holy Righteous Character now, while still in the flesh. And we have been given The Father’s Powerful Holy Spirit to accomplish.  Yes, the only thing powerful enough to change our sinful nature, and produce His Righteous Character, is His Powerful Holy Spirit.

This is why our Lord told Nicodemus that “Except a man be born of water (baptism) and of the Spirit (which one received at hands)he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. (John 3:5). We need His Powerful Spirit in us in order to succeed at overcoming.

Brethren, we are living at the end of the age. The time when “smooth things” are not only accepted, but even cherished. Too many in God’s church are swallowing many false teachings, fables, and even “damnable” heresies. These are not my words, as we read before, they are Peter’s words. 1st Peter deals with problems from the outside. But 2nd Peter deals with problems on the inside

Brethren, our Creator wants us Holy and Perfect (of full growth) now, while still in the flesh.

The Temple was built down at the quire. Right down to perfection. Everything was accomplished at the rock quire. Then, when “Complete” brought to the other side and erected.

Same with us, today, we need to be made perfect now, while in the flesh. We need to be complete now, and that includes doctrines. We need to be walking in Truth.

1 Kings 6:7 Shows the building of the Temple, the building of us.

And the house, (us, the ekklesia) when it was in building, was built of stone (us again) made ready (Perfect – Complete) before it was brought thither (to the other side) so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.”

And notice, no magic wand in the tool shed. Some think they can live and enjoy this world, this worldly life style) then walk right into Gods Kingdom? They think that at the end of the day, God will wave a magic wand, and change their sinful natures to His Holy Righteous Character in an instant?

It doesn’t work that way, His Character has to be developed over time, over much tribulation. It’s being developed now, in all who strive to walk upright, and purify themselves now. Yes, become pure now (by proving all things, studying the Scriptures, and walking in Truth, not fables.) We need to be “pure” now. (1 John 3:3).

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, (how pure) even as he is pure”.

In (Leviticus 23:15-16) we have a second witness, stating the same thing as 1 King’s 6:7 that we have to accomplish being perfect and holy, now, while still in the flesh.

“And ye shall count you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.”

Please note here that “complete” comes before day 50, before the day of Pentecost. We have to be complete by day 49 of the count, the day before our change over into Spirit beings. And that word “Complete” in (Leviticus 23:15) usually refers to our Lord, Unspotted, and unblemished. But here, in Leviticus 23:15 ts talking about us (His church) being unspotted, unblemished. (And before being changed into spirit.) Once baked, its a finished product, and ones nature cannot be changed back.

“Seven Sabbaths, Seven Weeks, Seven Churches shall be “Complete” perfect, before day 50, before the day of Pentecost, before being changed in Spirit.

All those standing on The Sea of Glass” have something very much in common, Victory. (Revelation 15:2) “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God”

Those six words: “them that had gotten the victory” come from only one Greek word Strong’s # 3528 Conquer, Overcomer, Victor. Its the same word our Lord used when addressing all seven churches: “To him that “overcometh” I will give this, and grant that.

Thank You.

To Reiterate for edification:

Leaven doesn’t always represent sin in the Bible. There is a good leaven spoken of in the Scriptures.

(Matthew 13:33).

“Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven (God’s Spirit) which a woman (the church) took (same word used by Peter in Acts 2:38 “receive” and hid (incorporated) in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.”

God always gives us the physical (which we humans understand quite well) so we can better understand the spiritual (which we humans do not understand so well.) The “wave loaves” which represent the church, are made will leaven (God’s Spirit) for a very important reason. Thes make some bread to better understand.

first, you put in all the ingredient. the flour, the salt etc. (including the leaven.) Then you begin to kneed the dough., and the dough begins to rise. So you beat it back down, and it begins to rise again….. Now we all know what is making the dough rise, its the leavening agent. But, do we realize what the leavening agent is doing to the dough to make it rise? Its changing the nature of the dough. God has given us His Spirit, its the only thing powerful enough to change our sinful natures, and develop in us His Holy Righteous Character.

I hope you are enjoying my hierarchical teachings. Lets understand something very important about “heresy.” There are two kinds.: “heresy” and “damnable heresy”, And again, caution is needed here, because many have their heresies mixed up. Heresy is not necessarily a bad thing. Paul was a preacher of heresy, and he was proud of it. (Acts 24:14). “But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets.”

We need not fear heresy. (Heresy is just a teaching that is contrary to what is normally taught or believed.) Its “damnable Heresy” That we need to be on guard against. And according to Scripture, many today in God’s church, are following some damnable teachings. Again, (2 Peter 2:2). Damnable here is Strong’s #G684 destruction, perish.

But thankfully there are those who have a “Love” for the Truth. The ones who will “Love His appearing'”. (2 Timothy 4:8).

I hope everyone is growing in that grace and knowledge of our Lord. Its time now for those of like minds to communicate more. To come together and share the Word with each other. “Iron still sharpeneth iron” Yes? Especially now, as our Lord brings together all of His sheep, even both of His fold’s. (John 10:16).

There is a good scripture that speaks much about who we can work together with, and who we cannot. (Luke 9:50) Mark 9:40).

“And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
Luke 9:50  And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.”

Back in John’s time there was only one Diotrephes, wanting the preeminence, today there are many. (3 John 1:9).
