Kenya Updates

February 3, 2024

Greetings Brethren,

Hope all of you are faring well, as we patiently await the soon return of our Lord. I am so happy to report that thanks to you donors, our impoverished brethren are doing much better. We thank all of you who quickly responded to our plea for help. It was so wonderful to have funds to send to the ones crying and suffering. Times have been rough for the past few Months, with so many orphans and elderly widows needing help. Thank you for your prayers and your donations. Our Creator answered their prayers through you.  I know you have been going above and beyond, due to the need being so great, and the workers so few.

I have been busier than ever trying to raise additional donors, and I think we have a few more joining hands with us now. We also thank many of you who have been spreading the word concerning the need. our Heavenly Father will surely bless you for your compassionate hearts.

I received the following from Nehemiah. He said that all the widows and orphans contacted him, thanking you donors from the bottom of their heart for the wonderful help. The following are from some who were able to text letters:

“Let me take this time again to thank you all the donors who have been supporting us. We received the funds that you sent for our food.

We had gone some days without eating which made our lives in danger and almost dying but by the grace of God we are now doing better, May our Almighty Father bless you all abundantly.

Matara and his kids” Matara, Wako (Brian) and two of the Girls Sharon & Jane. Davin is inside in bed, still too weak to get up.

“Let me take this opportunity to thank you all our beloved Donors for wonderful work that you have been doing of supporting us with the food. In some days ago we had gone without food that made me and the kids to become weaker and weaker but through the grace of God we finally got food that we are eating.

All the kids are so much happy they are saying if not you donors they could have gone dead but we are so much thankful for your help.

Daniel and kids”  Daniel & family – two are his, the other two orphans.

The two orphans are from sister in the church Agnes who died from starvation at the same time one of Daniel’s boys also died from starvation about one year ago. Daniel and his kids have been working hard in their garden planting vegetables, They pray for a good harvest, but it will be Months before the crops are mature.

All the Widows are so much happy for distribution of food, it was amazing for them to receive this food. We had been giving food enough for few days at a time due to so many in need. It was so wonderful to receive the additional donations. Yours sincerely Nesh.

 Border (Nyamaiya) church orphans.

(The following is from Nehemiah again.)

“Shalom!! Hoping that you are all doing great in the name of the Lord Almighty.

Today I visited several families where most of the kids who attend our fellowships from what is called Nyamaiya Church. It was a blessing to meet with more than 18 kids despite the fact that many had various challenges of suffering.

The majority of the kids (all of whom are orphans’) do stay with their grandmothers, who are very old. Widows some of them are weak due to lack of food on and off for extended period of time. We have supplied them with additional food recently from the recent donations that have come in, but they had previously really suffered from food challenge and it takes time to recover strength.

Personally I felt so down to see these little smart kids in the word of God, worried on how they will survive in the future.

I was forced to share a word of hope to them, by giving a Bible story of Elijah and the Widow (1 KINGS 17:8-16).

I promised them after the bible story that I will share with pastor Goff and His team to see whether we will distribute more food tomorrow, also bathing and washing soaps to everyone of them before or after the service.

Please I beseech anyone who will get this message to pray for these little kids and their grandmothers for God to create a possible way for their well being in order for the kids to live a happy lives. For all I know is that God and you Donors are their only option of Hope.

Let’s try our very best to lay them in great foundation which is the love of our Lord.

May our Heavenly Father bless the work of your hands as you take this prayer request in consideration.

Peace be onto you.

Thank you, God bless you.

Nehemiah”

Nehemiah (and David Mokoro) have returned to that group today (Sabbath February 3, 2024) with additional food (Beans, maze, soap and more) we are doing our best to distribute funds properly and efficiently as possible. Recently times have been rougher than normal I guess because we have had so much rain, making it almost impossible to move about in the mud.

I also received word from Manley today. Once again he had High scores at his university, and was given another gift from the school for his achievements. They gave him a desk-top computer.

Let me end now and get this update posted. Hope to have additional reports soon.
