Howbeit when It, the Spirit of truth, is come, It will guide you into all truth: for It shall not speak of itself; but whatsoever It shall hear, that shall It speak: and it will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)

Greetings Brethren,

We are living in the perilous times spoken of by Paul, with the end of this “evil” age rapidly approaching. The condition of this world continues to degenerate, and the sins of this world have definitely reached up to heaven. (2 Timothy 3:1) (Revelation 18:5) Soon our Heavenly Father will take action, and the church will be engaged in the big end time work we have been called to do. (Habakkuk 1:5) (Matthew 24:14) (Mark 16:15-16) Habakkuk was the last prophet before the destruction of Jerusalem. also, (Habakkuk 3:11) Rabbinical tradition makes him the son of the Shunammite woman whom Elijah restored to life. (2 Kings 4:16-36). The work “In your days” spoken of here, the work that you might not “believe”, is coming.

Brethren we are living at the time when our Heavenly Father will (not only) be shaking the earth (like He has in the past) but also the heavens. Yes, this time He will be shaking both heaven and earth. This is also the time when the church will soon enter into the big work that is ahead for us.

(Revelation 11:4) describes the two witnesses, and they are not only two men that are referred to here as “olive trees” but also two churches referred to here as “candlesticks”. Candlesticks always represent the church. Many will repent and come out of Great Tribulation. But let us remember, our Creator changes not. After repentance comes baptism. (No one can enter God’s Kingdom without being baptized first) and two men cannot baptizing all that come out of the Great Tribulation, that will be the work of the church, as they will also be witnessing, and preaching repentance. (John 3:5) and (Mark 16:16) One must be baptized to enter the Kingdom of God.

In (John 16:13) Our Lord tells us: “Howbeit when It, the Spirit of truth, is come, It will guide you into all truth: for It shall not speak of itself; but whatsoever It shall hear, that shall It speak: and It will shew you things to come.”

New Living Translation says it like this:“When the Spirit of truth comes, It will guide you into all truth. It will not speak on Its own but will tell you what It has heard. It will tell you about the future.”

Contemporary English Version “The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn’t speak on Its own. It will tell you only what It has heard from me, and It will let you know what is going to happen”.. (Yes, what is soon to transpire is being revealed to His church now.)

Brethren I hope we all have “ears” to hear and “eyes” to see because there is much that our Lord has to tell us, especially now, as this evil age comes to an end. We need to be those wise virgins, the ones who continue to fill their vessel with “Truth”. Truth is what the oil in the Parable of the ten virgins of Matthew 25 represents. Most pulpits continue to falsely teach that the oil represents God’s Holy Spirit in that parable, but it does not. You cannot buy the Holy Spirit (as the foolish virgins are instructed to do) it is a free gift. But we are commanded to buy the Truth. (Proverbs 23:23) The Scriptures are quite clear that the oil represents Truth, as shown in the following link: https://khofh.com/parable-of-the-ten-virgins/

Time is money, and filling up on Truth involves time…. study time, rightly dividing the Word, proving all things. Even gathering “evidence” like the word “reproof” means in (2 Timothy 3:16). If we want more of God’s Holy Spirit, all we have to do is ask Him. But IF we want to be filling our vessels with that precious “oil” we have to search for it, and fill up on “Truth”. And if we think we have all the truth, just read (2 Peter 2:1-2) BUT Read it in its “Present” tense. It clearly shows the poor condition of many in God’s church today. many following fables, even damnable heresies being accepted as truth. (Remember, read it in its “present” tense.)

I just wanted to mention all this before getting into the update, because the “church” of God in general is in sad shape right now. This is the Laodicean era, with so many of us slumbering and sleeping, at a time when we should clearly see that the “day” Is approaching. Let us wake up now, before the “Midnight Cry” of (Matthew 25:6) is sounded. (That cry by the way is the same cry found in Revelation 10:3 announcing the return of our Lord and Savior.) That cry is coming Brethren. Will we be amongst those wise virgins who “love His appearing”? Or will we be amongst those “foolish” virgins who will be wanting at that time?

The help that you regular donors continue to give to our impoverished brethren (especially to the orphans and widows) is quite commendable. As funds come in, they immediately go right back out to ease the suffering that our brethren are enduring. (Case in point) We were finally able to purchase a mattress for young Timothy who has been sleeping on the ground (lying on top of only a cowhide.) He now has a mattress.

We also just paid additional fees to the boarding schools that many of our orphan’s are attending. They have been home for 1 ½ weeks during midterm break, but we had to pay for their transport home and back, plus the schools now have trips planned for the students, and we were required to pay for that. But all the students are doing quite well and a few will graduate High School this year.

The water pump at Sengera House also needed repair. It didn’t cost much, and the timing was perfect, because we were there and able to fix it. All that required funds. And then let us remember, we are caring for about forty nine orphans (many who live in the bush with a Grandparent) and a dozen or so widows. So please realize that your donations are accomplishing a lot, and easing the suffering and afflictions of many of our orphans and widows. And believe me, our poor brethren truly do suffer, their life is rough and tough (and I’m sure this holds true for all of our poor brethren, all around this world.)  We better not take their plea, their cry, for help lightly; only sheep will enter into the Kingdom of God…. Our eternal life hinges on our development of compassion and love for God and for our fellow man. We need our old sinful natures, completely changed into our Creator’s Holy Righteous Character. (And that’s only possible if we have His Spirit in us.) We cannot overcome sin on our own. But we can overcome sin with His Power, with the Father’s Powerful Holy Spirit in us.) Our Lord makes that clear, as he tells “us” the laodiceans that we “can” “ovecome” just like He “oveercame.” All we have to do is open the door, and let Him in.(Revelation 3:20-21)

Let us stir His Spirit up brethren, and use it to overcome. And let us be sheep, why? Because goats will not be allowed in, they will be rejected. (Matthew 25:41)

Times continue to be quite rough in Kenya. Even now many of our brethren are again sleeping hungry, as we struggle to supply them with the ingredients to make nutritional porridge. More help is needed. In addition to you regular donors who have already been giving above and beyond, let us pray for more donors to become aware of the suffering, and to join hands with us in helping our poor brethren.

                                               Getionko Combined Services

A few Stateside Brethren were able to accompany me on my last trip to Kenya. That’s James King (center left) from Fort Walton Beach Florida. James son Garrison (not pictured here) also traveled with us. Then pictured is Alan Holt from the “Independent cog Seventh day” then Bill and then Alan’s wife Jackie Holt.

Overseers from the Migori area were given Bibles to distribute to their congregations.

Pictured above is George Kariuki, John Owak and a few others who traveled to Sengera to see the Sengera House.

Jackie Holt was quite busy teaching and instructing the children on a variety of subjects. She also introduced them to the “flute” an instrument that she plays so elegantly.

Isaac (papa) repairing the generator.

James King taught young Isaac how to make some repairs to our generator. The boy is mechanically inclined, and learns quite quickly. It was such a pleasure to see all the visitors so busy helping and teaching the orphans in many ways. Our goal of course is to teach all the children a trade, so they can become self supportive.

David Mokoro translating for Alan Holt during Sabbath Services.

David (along with Nehemiah) are excellent translators. They occasionally stop and begin to elaborate (in their native tongue) on what is being taught whenever they see any expression of not understanding on the faces of the brethren.

Ibu (Brian) working to repair the old swing set.

The swing set was originally built a number of years ago by the orphans themselves, but was now in need of repair. They accomplished it, and the children are once again enjoying it.

Timothy and Francis making some final adjustments.

The swing set is once again operational.

Brethren I want to return our focus now on the starvation that is once again plaguing our impoverished brethren. We don’t need a ton of money, the problem is that the need is great, but the donors are few. Please continue to pray for others to become aware of the suffering, and to join hands with us in assisting our impoverished brethren (especially our orphans and widows.) (James 1:27)

I received the following from Nehemiah this morning:

“Dear Donors

Greetings once again to our fellow Donors from the upward Country, hoping that you are doing well together with your families. I am writing this letter on behalf of the orphans, widows and the widowers. They are always happy for you donors for the wonderful tremendous work that you are doing to them.

Currently they are still in need of your prayers and help in terms of food; it’s a bit challenging for them to get a satisfaction for their needs due to the current conditions here. Some are too weak to get out of bed due to lack of food. If we don’t get them some relief soon, we will once again be burying. It is my prayer in Christ’s name that we continue praying and helping these orphans and widows with sufficient nutritional porridge and beans. The widows we are caring for are too old to dig, and the orphans are too young to care for themselves.

Yours Nehemiah.”

Let me end for now and get this update posted. Please try your best to spread the word that we have brethren in need of our help. If anyone questions our legitimacy, please refer them to our “Update Page”. It documents all that we have been doing all the way back to 2006.

Thank you.
