“And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:20-21)
Greetings Brethren,
Soon our Lord will be returning, and His reward will be with Him to give every man according to their works shall be. (Revelation 22:12).

Getionko Orphans Buying Clothes. Look at those beautiful smiling faces.

Buying Shoes

Laundry Soap.
Brethren, your support of these orphans is helping them tremendously. In Kenya, orphans are often looked down upon, and considered worthless. But not to our Creator, and not to all of us. In our sight they are quite precious to say the least.

Menley Arrived at Sengera House 2017.
These were the shoes Menley was wearing on the day he and his sister Jemima arrived at Sengera House. Their parents had both been killed in an automobile accident Months prior. I brought him to the market, looking to buy him a new pair. But as I was looking at “new” shoes, Menley tapped me on the shoulder and said “Hey, let’s look at “used” shoes, there much cheaper.” Yes, he was quite humble and appreciative. Your donations have put him and his sister through Grammar School and High School. And he is now attending university to become a pilot for Kenya Airlines.

KUKU (Swahili for chicken) is on the menu. Every one of our orphans knows quite well how to pluck a chicken. And some are quite capable of butchering a Goat.

Menley Learning to Fly.
Menley has come a long way in the past eight years. He now has 1 1/2 years left in flight school. He will then be employed by Kenya Airlines upon graduation.

Menley.

His class traveled to Mombasa for simulator training.
I received the following from Menley: “I am writing to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude to you donors and sponsors for everything you have done, and continue to do, in my life.
I write with a heart full of gratitude, moved by the countless ways you have poured love, care, and support into my life life and the lives of so many others. The journey has not been easy, but your faithfulness, kindness, and the tireless generosity of everyone standing with Kenya Hands of Hope have carried us through seasons where hope seemed far away.
I cannot find enough words to express the depth of my appreciation. You have not only taken me in and cared for me, but you have also made my sister Jemimah feel the same warmth and belonging. Through you, we have seen what it means to be part of a true family one that is built on love, faith, and compassion.
I also want to take a moment to honor the widows and the aged who have stood beside this mission. Your strength, prayers, and acts of kindness are not unseen. You remind us that giving is not about abundance but about the heart that chooses to bless others, even when it costs something. You are a living example of God’s love in action.
Please know that what you are doing is far more than providing shelter, education, and food. You are restoring dignity and shaping futures,We will never forget where you have brought us from. We carry your kindness as a permanent part of our story.
As for me,I promise that I will continue to work hard not only for my own future but so that I may honor the sacrifice, belief, and investment you have made in me. I want my life to be a testimony that your labor of love was never in vain. By God’s grace, I will strive to make you proud, to stand strong, and to one day be in a position to extend the same hand of hope to others, just as you have done for me.
I pray that God continues to strengthen and refresh you, that He would fill you with joy in the work of your hands and multiply everything you pour into this mission. May He never allow you to grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.
As the Word of God reminds us in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
On behalf of myself, my sister Jemimah, and all the children whose lives you have touched, we appreciate you with all our hearts. You have built more than a house you have built hope, family, and a future for many of us who once felt forgotten. May the Lord Himself repay you for every act of kindness, for every prayer, and for every sacrifice you have made.
With deep respect, love, and endless gratitude,
Menley Mochama.”

James painting a door at Sengera House back in 2013.
Your donations have also put James through Grammar School and High School. Now he is enrolled at “Kenya Medical Training College” in Kisii Kenya. (About one hour from Sengera House.) James says he wants to become a nurse, so he can help people. All these orphans that you donors have been supporting have wonderful attitudes. Your support continues to produce good fruit.

The children you have been supporting have also become quite knowledgeable of the Scriptures. One day recently I gave them “individually” a pop quiz. Below are the questions and their answers.
Now the questions might seem quite elementary to all of us, but the majority of children their age (and many adults) do not know the correct answers to these simple basic questions.
(The first one I quizzed, was Mokoro.)
Question:
1. Which day is the Sabbath, Saturday or Sunday?
Answer: “Saturday.”
2. When people die, where do they go?
Answer: “They go into the grave baba.”
3. Is anyone in heaven now?
Answer: “No, only God and His Son.”
(And please note, there was no hesitation in his answers, his replies were instant.)
4. Please fill in the blank: “without _____, it is impossible to please God?
Answer: “No one can please God without faith. Whosever goes to God must believe.”
(Again, his answers were instant.)
5. Then I ask him another question that might be a little harder to answer: Scripture says faith without “works” is dead. What are these “works” that are spoken of here?
This time his answer was not instant. But in less than one minute he replied by quoting (word for word) (James 2:14-26):
“What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Works has to do with doing, doing a good and right thing. Being a “doer” of the Word, and not a hearer only. Its speaking of action, being engaged.
(Dropping down to verse 21 we see more of these works in action.)
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
(Dropping down to verse 25 we see more works in action.)
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Works is about doing. It’s about being about our Heavenly Father’s business. Like preaching the Gospel, or feeding the poor.
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
Anyway, Mokoro not only knew the correct answers to my questions, but he also knew exactly where to go to find all the answers, the Holy Scriptures. And I’m happy to say that so far, all the children I gave this quiz, answered the questions quite well.

A Few of Sengera House Orphans – Prepared to Return to School.
That’s deceased Haron’s son Stephen in the red sweater.
We thank you brethren for continuing to support these impoverished brethren of ours, especially the widows and orphans. May our Heavenly Father bless you abundantly for doing so. And please continue to inform others that our impoverished Kenyan brethren need our help. The need is great, but the laborers are few. And once again our funds are depleted.
Thank You.
