Isaiah 40:3 The Voice of Him that Crieth, In the Wilderness Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord, Make Straight in the Desert a Highway for our God.
Many Are Called Few Chosen
Independant Church of God Seventh Day

Feast of Tabernacles in Sevierville Tennessee 2024
There they were, gathered together and standing on the Mount of Olives. It was a beautiful sunny day when they asked Him, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel. And He replied, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
The Holy Spirit came upon them just like Jesus had said, and the Church of God has been witnessing unto the uttermost part of the earth ever since, preaching and teaching all nations, about the Good News of the coming Kingdom of God. Baptizing them in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus, the Christ.
This same Jesus also told them, “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” The day of His return is still ahead of us, and like He said, the times or the seasons are not for us in the church of God to know. But He also tells us to be ready for that day. He says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
It is being ready for His return that this Website is trying to focus on. It is being ready for His return that is of utmost importance to all of those whom He has called. The Father tells us that He is ready now. He says to them which are bidden, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.” Yes, our Creator is ready now. But how about us, are we ready now? We need to be ready brethren, there is a time coming when that cry spoken of in Mathew 25 will be made, “Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.” That will be a very happy and exciting time for those who are ready, for those who have prepared for His return, for those who love His appearing. But it will be a very frightening and tragic time for those who have not taken the time to prepare, for those who are not ready. Procrastination is said to be a human character- istic. Many like to postpone till tomorrow, the things that need to be accomplished today. God does not favor postponements brethren.
The Lord says, “But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth His coming, and shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of. And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” The Lord is not slack concerning his promise brethren, as some men count slackness. Do we realize that He is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
There was a time when many who were following Jesus decided not to follow Him anymore. Jesus asked His twelve disciples back then, “Will you also go away? Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” How about us brethren? Do we believe, and are we sure, that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God? Do we know Him? The Apostle John said, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” Paul told the Philippians not only to believe on Jesus, but also to suffer for his sake.
We live in a world that is full of confusion and deception, a world that has been fashioned and molded by the arch deceiver Satan himself, the one who was a murderer and a liar from the beginning, and the father of lies. Let us not be deceived by him brethren. We need truth; we need to have a love for the truth.
The truth is that there will be a gathering together again unto Him. The saints will be meeting Jesus in the clouds. Those who have succeeded in overcoming will be standing before Him on the sea of glass, ready to proclaim their wedding vows with Him at the great banquet that has been prepared by the Father. A great wedding banquet that is ready now as we speak. Will we be there brethren? Are we ready? Do we have on the proper wedding garments? Rv:19:7 tells us, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”
Many are called, brethren, but only few are chosen. Many are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot. If that describes any of us, we need to repent of it. If any of us think that we are rich, and increased with good, and have need of nothing, we need to repent and be clothed with white raiment so that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear. He tells us that He is standing at the door, and knocking; and that if any man hear His voice, and open the door, He will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. God cannot lie. Let us believe on what He is telling us; let us ponder on what He says. “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto His church, unto His called out ones.”
We have been called to come out of this world and be ye separate by God the Father. Accomplishing that brethren, is a matter of living by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. We invite you and welcome you to take a look at our Website. We ask that you receive what we have to say like the Bereans did when Paul and Silas approached them, “For they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” We ask you to be swift to hear, and then prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Remember, we are commanded by our Creator to, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a work- man that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” It is truth that we have to live by brethren, and it is truth that will sanctify us and set us free. All truth is provable with the Bible, if it’s truth. So we welcome you to come and have a look.
