Greetings, and Happy Sabbath,
My wife Marie and I were baptized in 1984. It was a very exciting time for both of us, coming out of Catholicism. We began studying our Bibles, and learning about the Sabbath, the Holy Days, and so much more. Learning truth was wonderful and exciting back then, and still is today, as we grow in grace and in the knowledge of or Lord and Savior. We are instructed to be growing, like we read in (2 Peter 3:18).
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
That word grow here means “wax” “enlarge”, “grow,” “increase”. Yes, we are to be growing in knowledge, learning more Biblical truth.
In (Ephesians 4:11-14) we read:
“And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
But many today have stopped growing. Many have been falsely taught, and sadly believe that we have all the truth.
Many pulpits today believe, and teach that even Jude’s exhortation in (Jude1:3) to “earnestly contend” for the faith which was once delivered to the saints” has already been achieved. They say that we have all the truth, and now, we need only to hold on to it. Brethren, nothing could be further than the truth.
We are living at a time when Peter says that many fables are being taught, and believed in the church today. Yes, just like he predicted almost two thousand years ago. (2 Peter 2:1-2).
1st Peter deals with problems from the outside, but 2nd Peter deals with problem from the inside. Let us read (2 Peter 2:1-2) in its proper “present” tense, to drive his sobering point home.
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there are false teachers among you, who privily have brought in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many are following their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth is evil spoken of.”
Now, fortunately Truth stands on its own two feet. And Scripture clearly shows us exactly how we can know for sure, if what we believe, is truth, or fable.
In (2 Timothy 3:16-17) we are told: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God (God-breathed) and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
There are two important words that I want to focus on here, “reproof” and “correction”. Many (if not most) in the church today neglect to reproof their beliefs. That word “reproof” is Strong’s # G1650 meaning evidence. We need to have Scriptural evidence for all of our beliefs. Searching for, and finding evidence takes time, but it eliminates believing in fables and false doctrines.
And that word correction is Strong’s # G1882 meaning to straighten up, make straight. What this means is, if we study and find a beliefs to be incorrect, or contrary to Scripture, we need to change. The Holy Scriptures need to be Paramount when it comes to our beliefs, even if its contrary to what is normally taught or believed.
Now some will call me a heretic, and rightly so. But heresy is not necessarily a bad thing. Paul was accused of being a heretic, and he assented to it. Believing all things that were written in the Scriptures. (Acts 24:14). We too, need to believe all things that are written in the Scriptures.
Heresy is just a belief or teaching that is contrary to what is normally taught and believed. We need not fear heresy brethren, its “damnable” heresy that we need to reject. And according to Peter, some “damnable” heresy is being taught and believed as truth in the church today. (2 Peter 2:1-2) (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
Now I’m going to briefly list some of these doctrinal issues. Others have also raised red flags about these same issues from time to time, but often labeled by the pulpits as heresy, and instructed not to even hear or consider them. That alone is contrary to the Scriptures. Those noble Berean’s were quick to hear what Paul had to say. (Acts 17:11) tells us that the Berean’s “received the word with all readiness of mind” then after hearing what was presented to them, then they searched the Scriptures to see if it was so.
There is nothing to fear in my message here today brethren. Our quest is to search for truth. The true church of the living God, is the pillar and ground of the “truth”. (1 Timothy 3:15).
The best place to start, is in Matthew 25, “the parable of the ten virgins”. But first, let us remember why He spoke in parables in the first place. (Matthew 13:10-11).
The oil that the wise virgins are filling up on represents “truth” not “spirit”. The foolish virgins are instructed to go and buy this oil. You cannot buy God’s Holy Spirit; it’s a free gift. Simon Magus proved that. (Acts 8:18). But what we can buy, and must buy is “truth”. (Proverbs 23:23). It’s “truth” that is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path. (Psalm 119:105).
Another false doctrine concerns the “leaven” the “wave loaves” are baked with. (Leviticus 23:17). Most pulpits teach that that “leaven” spoken of here, represents sin, but it does not. Leaven in the Scriptures doesn’t always represent sin. There is a good leaven spoken of in the Scriptures, God’s Holy Spirit. (Matthew 13:33).
The next issue I would like to discuss, is whether or not we can be “Holy” and “Perfect” like Scriptures commands. (Matthew 5:48) (1 Peter 1:15-16). while still in the flesh? The “Church of God Community” says it is impossible. (Now of and by ourselves, it is impossible. But we are not by ourselves, IF we have His Powerful Holy Spirit dwelling in is.
Now another controversial issue concerns the calendar. Many pulpits say there is no calendar in the Scriptures, forcing us to observed the “Hebrew” Calendar, sometimes called the sacred calendar. But would God command us to keep His “Appointed Times” and expect us to rely on corruptible man to know when those Holy times are? No, Scripture clearly tells us that God placed His calendar in the heavens, for all to see. The Scriptures concerning the calendar are there, and quite simple and clear to understand.
There are seven calendars currently utilized by almost all of the Sabbatarian churches observing the biblical annual holy days. The majority keep the man-made Hebrew Calendar, which is not even in the Scriptures. The second largest group keep the “new moon” but they keep the incorrect new moon, they keep the crescent, which is also not in the Scriptures. The next group keep the correct new moon (which Scripture confirms is at the conjunction.) But they neglect to consider the “equinox”. You have to consider the equinox to know when the year begins. (Remember, Genesis 1:14 also says the lights in the firmament are also for years.) Otherwise, you will occasionally be keeping the Holy Days out of season, like many will be doing this year 2026, when many will be keeping Trumpets, and the day of Atonement when it is still summer.
The word “appointed” in (Psalm 81:3) clearly tells us that the “moon” is “new” when it is dark. fully covered, concealed and hidden. Yes, when the sun, moon and earth are in a perfect line, plumb which the root word Strong’s # H3680 elaborates.
Now, let me mention one more thing, and it probably the most important of all. It has to do with why many in the church are physically sick, and not healed when anointed by the Elders. It has to do with why the church is lacking, yes lacking in “Spiritual strength, and why some have died, instead of being heled, when anointed. It has to do with us not properly discerning the Lord’s body.
Our Lord and Savior established this on the night in which He was betrayed, it’s called the “Agape Love Feast”, or “Feast of Charity”. It was first attacked by ungodly men who crept into God’s church during New Testament times. (Jude 1:12). And then forbidden to be kept, and completely done away at the Council of Laodicea.
The Council of Laodicea was a regional synod (an Ecclesiastical council) of approximately thirty
clerics from Asis Minor that assembled about 363–364 AD in Laodicea. The major concerns of the
Council involved regulating the conduct of church members. The Council expressed its decrees in the
form of written rules or canons. Among the sixty canons decreed, several aimed at: Maintaining order
among Bishops, Clerics and Laypeople. Outlawing the keeping of the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) and
encouraging rest on “Lord’s Day” Sunday. And also forbade the churches for celebrating the Agape
or love feast.
Let’s read them (word for word as they are)
Now most of us are familiar with Cannon # 29, we’ll read that first:
CANON XXIX.
CHRISTIANS must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather
honoring the Lord’s Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be
Judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ. (Meaning: excommunicated, banned &
cursed.) Most of us are familiar with that # 29 Cannon, with that ruling.
But how many are aware of Cannon # 28, the Cannon that caused the Agape Love Feast to end. The very church tradition that increased the flow of God’s Spirit amongst the brethren, which in turn brought about the working of miracles, signs & wonders, when it was removed, and forbidden to be practiced in the church.
CANON # 28. (Word for Word)
“It is not permitted to hold love feasts, as they are called, in the Lord’s Houses, or Churches, nor to
eat and to spread couches in the house of God.
Most in God’s church have never even hear of it, yet it is spoken of by Jude and Peter, and in many places in the Scriptures.
Let me mention one more thing. I once believed that King Charles lll is the coming man of sin, and that the Apostle John will be one of the coming two witnesses. But I need to clarify something that I have recently learned, or come to realize.
Kings Charles in many ways fits the discretion of the man of sin.
He is considered the # 1 Globalist (Advocates the operation or planning of economics, and foreign policy on a Global basis.)
He is said to have okayed the stopping of the “North Stream Pipe Line”.
The “Great Reset” was coined by him.
Bill Gates is said to be a Knight of Charles.
George Soros is also under Charles.
At his crowning, he changed some words. He says he is the defender of “faiths” plural, not the defender of “the faith” singular, as the coronation was originally worded.
King Charles commitment to diversity was also on display at his coronation, when religious leaders representing Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh traditions for the first time not only attended the ceremony, but played an active role in the ceremonies.
So, King Charles does fit the description of the man of sin, he’s already a very powerful man. BUT, he is not specifically named in the Scriptures. So, time will tell if he will be that man of sin spoken of in (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
But the Apostle John IS specifically named in Scripture to be one of the two witnesses during the coming Great Tribulation. Yes, the Scriptures clearly name both of God’s coming two witnesses.
There is a short Scriptural study on that titled: “I Will Give Power unto My Two Witnesses.”
Brethren, there is a lot here. I hope you have a love for the truth, and take the time to study these issues, to see if they are so. Let us be amongst those who are walking in truth, as mentioned by the Apostle John in: (2 John 1:4).
